Blau Films is an independent film production company based in Madrid, founded in 2025 with the aim of promoting European, author-driven, and contemporary cinema. Conceived as a creative space with a defined artistic identity, Blau champions bold, personal narratives that are deeply connected to contemporary concerns.
Since its first project, El chico que lloraba sangre, directed by Ares Sirvent, the company has maintained a clear editorial line: supporting emerging talent and fostering works with a strong aesthetic and narrative impact. This was followed by Donde mueren los pasos, a thriller directed by Claro García, filmed entirely in Madrid. Blau has also developed Avispado, created by Fernando Nagore, and its first international project, filmed between Madrid and Berlin in Spanish, English, and German, thereby consolidating its commitment to cross-border, multilingual storytelling.
Currently, Blau Films is developing a new generation of projects that explore the margins of European auteur cinema, combining visual sensitivity, production rigor, and international projection.
At the helm of Blau Films is Fernando Nagore, founder and CEO. With a background in International Business Management from the Berlin Business School of Economics and Law and postgraduate studies in Executive Production at ECAM, Fernando brings a strategic vision grounded in creativity. His professional trajectory includes active participation in festivals such as Berlinale, San Sebastián, and Cannes.
In 2025, Marc James Peabody joined as Development Director. Specialized in scriptwriting, budget control, and executive production, he brings a curatorial perspective that reinforces Blau’s commitment to narrative coherence, formal risk, and contemporary cinematic thought. His experience focuses on project development, budgeting, financing, and comprehensive oversight, ensuring a unified vision from conception to post-production.
Blau Films seeks to produce the films that do not yet exist: brave, honest cinema that is deeply connected to the author’s vision and the questions of the present.
